🔌 WildHD Power Extension Cable 16.5ft 2.1mm x 5.5mm for CCTV Security Camera IP Camera Standalone DVR Review

No problem with the product. It was well made and matched the description. The price was good for the features of the product. Originally purchased to install a remote outdoor camera. The installation location had to be changed due to the WiFi signal, an extension cable (unpacked) was not required.

When I received it, I took the two cables I ordered out of the box and tested both cables. Both worked great, no problems. There was no factory defect, the quality is excellent. I bought 2 of these cables to extend my Valve Index VR base station power cords as they are short. I'll receive my Valve Index VR headset tomorrow and I'm sure it will work great. Because I've already checked them for correct polarity and they work.

Installation of wireless surveillance cameras and the need to increase the length of power cables. These cables did it! Gave me the length I needed and the white color makes them less noticeable than the black cords. I placed clear heat shrink tubing where the extension cord connects to the camera pigtails to make them more difficult to disconnect. I am very happy with these cables, so much so that I have bought some 16 inch cables as well.

Bought to connect a Smonet (wireless) camera to a CCTV power distribution kit. UPS panel. The undamaged cable is 33 feet long, but the last 4 feet or so were cut off as they were superfluous and I had to crimp the fork terminals to connect to the screws on the power supply. Overall, the male end fits securely into the 5.55mm x 2.15mm jack. The women's side is also tight-fitting. Camera current is about 800mA in infrared, no problem at that 33 feet (actually about 29).

Works as it should. I am using it on a camera system that requires cameras to be connected. This type of power strip is easier to manipulate and conceal than a traditional indoor power strip and is less expensive. I was pleasantly surprised that it came with nailed wire clamps as securing the wire was another thing I had to figure out. I just installed it today so can't comment on durability but so far it's just what I need.

This is an honest and truthful review of this product which I purchased at full price from Revain.com: So far so good, I have tried other cables and this seems to be of better quality. Its insulation is quite thick, which is better for me. Many other cables like this one on Amazon are the standard non-insulated type. I bought this cable for one of my security cameras in my house. I wanted to hardwire it to one of my UPSs in the event of a power outage. I will update this review if anything…

My award-winning TP-Link WiFi router came with the typical short DC power cord (which router doesn't?). Luckily, TP-Link uses the same connection type as most legacy (i.e. non-POE) home security camera power cables (same polarity, same connector size). I actually tried a piece of 66ft power cable from an old camera and it did NOT work. I thought the length of the wire must result in a lot of "juice" being lost. So I decided to try this 33ft wire and wahla, it works great!

In the last 3-4 months I've bought six of these (some white, some black) and they all worked perfectly. I used them to power 5 of my security cameras. In one case I connected 3 of these together to connect a camera to the garage from the back of the house and this camera has been working for almost 3 months now. Even though the connections are tight, I still put tape on the connection to make sure they don't break when I route the cables. I have no idea how anyone can write anything negative…
