This was part of a Christmas present. The recipient is a professional pit master and knows his products. Was surprised and delighted.

I use this lid over a 1/3 metal pot to defrost chicken I have packed in my fridge from the front yard. The metal helps draw out the cold and thaw faster than plastic containers. The dishwasher held up perfectly. The lid is simply placed on the pan.

Lid works fine just wish they had used a different barcode/trace label glue. A simple rule of thumb for all manufacturers should be: if it touches or contains food, never use a sticker anywhere on the product. My pet has to clean citrus with a vegetable peeler just to remove glue or sticker residue
