Great bag! in Bar Tools & Drinkware

This was the best purchase for my trip to Scotland knowing I was bringing home a very expensive bottle of whiskey for my brother. It fitted perfectly in this bag, sealing it hermetically. It fit perfectly in my luggage and when I opened it it was in perfect condition! I love that it came with a second bag. So when I come back next month I can take another bottle home, this one for me!

We keep 1-2 in our suitcases when we travel

We carry them in our suitcases when we travel in case we need to bring a bottle of wine. If I know I'm going to be carrying a bottle, I would use a reusable Bottlebully or Wine Safeguard. But sometimes you don't know what you're going to take home from a trip, so we keep them handy in a suitcase because they fold up and don't take up space unless we choose to use them. That way you don't have to look for a place that sells a protective case at the last minute.

I brought a bottle of Japanese sake home in my checked baggage on a 2 flight itinerary. My suitcase was thrown into 2 cargo bays, 4 trunks and a luggage carousel with a bottle in a wineskin in the middle of a padded suitcase full of clothes. The downside is that the bag is designed for one-time use. because it is sealed with sticky glue. I think I can reuse it by sealing it with tape. Some of these soft bottle bags come with absorbent material in case of breakage or leakage. It doesn't, butโ€ฆ

Disaster Finally Averted

In 2012, I proposed to my wife in Lucca, Italy. We brought wine. When we went through customs in Los Angeles, we were delayed because the family in front of us didn't fill out the paperwork properly (read: at all). You can see the baggage carousel from the queue. We saw our bag containing four bottles of wine and about twenty books (I love foreign comics) fall down and land on the carousel. We watched it spin. We watched him go back to where the bags fell out. We watched as a huge hardcoverโ€ฆ

International challenges!

I had some friends who brought me wine from the UK to California, they all had to bag it for inspection. Of course, there's nothing more embarrassing than a bottle of your favorite red wine being emptied through all your friends' luggage. After using them a few times I hoped! Thus, all wines arrived safely in the USA. They have a very good seal and my own experience with bubble wrap has shown that it is a very good material for protecting wine. I've also tried wine diapers, they're good butโ€ฆ

Great solution to a common travel problem

We recently traveled to Greece and knew we'd be back with something bottled (wine, olive oil, vinegar, raki). So we ordered some of these Wine Skin Protectors before we left. Now I'm happy to report that they worked great. Protectors not only have an inner layer of bubble wrap, but also a fairly strong outer plastic "skin". To close, you need to bend the hole twice, seal each fold with tape. I felt very comfortable putting this in our checked luggage. One of the bottles we were transporting was
