Although it says ("Unlike others, which are made of faux metal that breaks easily, the Wine Ziz opener has a real zinc alloy screw"), there is Plastic in the core of the screw part. The faux metal plastic is really INSIDE the zinc alloy that just BREAKS! So. it's useless now.

It feels nice and strong in the hand and is light weight so I thought it would last really long. Unfortunately, less than a year later, the corkscrew broke completely in half. It then worked fine *POP*, the shaft just fell off, snapped in half. It wasn't very expensive so I think I got what I paid for.

Ideal for wind bottle openers. The foil cutter is good too. You need about 2-3 turns, but this ensures a clean cut of the film. The main reason I only give it 3 stars is that the beer bottle opener is very weak. When you try to open a bottle, the neck of the opener flexes. I assume it will break soon. So it's great for wine bottle openers (screw type) but not good for a "beer" opener.

This lightweight corkscrew has a pointed center for easy handling. This is not a bent wire corkscrew. I've had heavier ones but it's ok. I think it was a good deal. Also included was a knife for the foil covering the cork. I didn't think we needed it, but it's there. I put these parts in my camping stash, which is also our emergency stash. After a natural disaster, it would be especially bad to have lots of bottles of wine and no sensible way to open them. problem solved

This product works as described and as I imagined! The foil cutter worked like clockwork and cut through the foil in no time. The soft wings fit snugly around the necks of my wine bottle and make it easy to screw the worm into the cork. The design of the handle and corkscrew feel well thought out so there was no manual fuss just easy cork removal. And although the purchase was generously affordable, the product looks expensive and the quality of the application is high.

We don't need a corkscrew that often, but it's still inconvenient when you need one and don't have one.
