I bought it when my eldest child was 4 years old. It was so difficult and uncomfortable for her that I hid it for several years. This is a great addition to the Quadrilla set. I wouldn't recommend buying the kit separately (Vertigo, Challenger, or Autobahn are great starters). The important elements are 6 music sticks with 6 yellow blocks or red boosters to attach to the music sticks and, my personal mother's favourite, the marble trap! the old man didn't like the musical component. My 3 year old and I really enjoy this marble walkway! We fell in love with her immediately. I was looking for a marble walkway that was durable and interesting at the same time. Many of the plastic marble studs I've tested have proven to not be very strong or stick together too well. In addition, you hear the sound of plastic rather than the more pleasant sound of wood.
