If you normally wear a Large XL hat, you have to stretch it before you can put it on. what else can you say This is a wool hat. Soak in water, wring out excess, stretch over a 1.5x object or stretch on cardboard and secure with a pin. Let dry (this can take a long time, 24-48 hours)

I washed them in warm water, air dried them and they have shrunk a lot. I stretched them out and they can be used but thought they would stay about the same size. I may have forgotten care instructions so shrinkage could be my fault. They are very well done!

Let's start with the fact that I have a big head (8), so I sometimes have problems with hats. This knit hat was extreme. All proportions are off. The cap is narrow (super tight) and long. Even with the 2 inch crease at the bottom, I still had 6 inches of the hat over my head. I do not recommend this.

Before I always got watch caps from PX and from a mate who got the same one after my DD214. Passed half a dozen of them. First commercial purchase here. The fit is exactly how I remember it from 30 year old hats, not too tight on my large head. The feel or texture of the knit is slightly different than before, but what did I expect? Egg in my beer? The difference doesn't matter. I would get one here again.
