These caps are light to medium weight. The stitches are made to stretch as needed without tying! Other hats are too tight for me. They fit snugly and are long enough to cover my ears. I sleep with a hat, and I sleep with this hat much better than with others. I think if I need a thicker hat I can wear 2 of these. Good fit, slightly stretchy = comfortable, good quality, I will buy again!

Good hats -- I ordered 12 pieces - I thought they were different colors but they were all black. This is normal for me and my husband - very convenient and will get the job done.

These hats are very expensive. Bought these as a gift, they are a nice medium weight and work well. The winters here are cold but not very severe and I believe they will keep us warm without getting too hot. The hats are true to size and fit on my head.

I was specifically looking for a gray hat, but unfortunately the gray hats in the 12-piece rib set look more like jet black (more black than grey). Still useful but not what I was looking for. They fit snugly around the head and provide extra room to hang around if you play around with them a bit, although they don't look as pretty as real slouch hats. I liked how much you get for the price. I didn't wear them much, nor outside when it was very cold because it would be really cold below 20 Fahrenheit indoors. But as far as I can tell they are not that thick and are made from a single layer of material, cotton I believe.
