Fits on a 2007 VW 2.5L just like the factory. Looks a little different, based on my research the valve has been updated to fit multiple A/C compressors.

excellent product. Arrived quickly. The air conditioning compressor is in excellent condition but needs a new solenoid valve. It was difficult to remove from the compressor, but eventually it worked. The air conditioning works great now and blows ice cold.

Two repair shops wanted to replace my air conditioning compressor. After a bit of research I decided to replace the air conditioning control solenoid valve. Took me about 3 hours (there was a slight delay due to rain) but after replacing the part and recharging the system I had (and still have) freezing AC in my Jetta.

Works as advertised. FYI: This solenoid was very different from the remote solenoid, but after some research I found it to be compatible. The new (longer) style seems to work much better than the old one. (See image I've attached for reference)

Installed on my 2012 Jetta Sportwagen TDI. The air conditioning cooled off at times. The store diagnosed compressor failure and asked for nearly $2,000. Took me 45 minutes, I didn't even have to unscrew the compressor! Charge with A/C Pro and it's way cooler than ever. I drove my wife's car to work because mine was unbearable in the Florida heat. Bought to replace a valve on my supercharger in my 2012 VW Golf. The air conditioning only worked when I wanted it to, and I was very sick of it considering I live in Florida. Easy in and out with evacuation and charging and my aircon almost froze me this morning. I'm happy with that. If you have a VW with a variable air conditioning compressor, replace the valve and save hundreds of dollars instead of buying a new compressor.

Dealer took $90 and diagnosed new compressor. The local A/C shop charged $120 for a diagnostic and said it needed a new compressor - even when I said it was a solenoid. I ordered this valve, got it from a local Mexican AC shop, they drained the gas, replaced the valve, evacuated and refilled the system (for $100). The air conditioning works. excellent for the last 2 weeks no problems so far. Love it. 100% recommended.

After a disappointing fiasco with a cheaper unit here on Amazon I finally ordered this magnet for my 2013 VW Passat TDI SE. My dealer wanted an arm and leg to fix my air conditioner. Of course thanks to the old YouTube and nice people who share their experiences with us all. I was able to conclude that this was the reason for my air conditioner turning on and off. I'm glad I didn't listen to the theft. They wanted $1,700 for a new compressor and other unnecessary crap. $25 later on parts, $150…
