Just like Motorcraft. I bought it because it came with a gasket. The original pad is reusable and mine was found to be in perfect condition. My only complaint is that the replacement gasket is not the same quality as the original gasket. Because of this difference, I would save money and buy a genuine FORD product.

Love Wix filters use them for all my needs. I just wish the gasket was hard steel like the factory. I ended up using my factory. One of the Wix was a weak guy. Would work well, just would have preferred a stiffer gasket for a better fit and fit with the transmission pan surface. All in all, the Wix Oil, Transmission and Fuel Filter is unbeatable.

This wix filter looks just as good as the OEM I removed. I didn't use the gasket that came with it, I used an old gasket and after a few days of testing it wasn't leaking. The gasket that came with the filter looked good, it's black rubber, quite thick and wide. It took some time to put a new filter in the gearbox, I had to move and push. Don't forget to remove the old gasket from the OEM filter that is stuck in the valve body. It's not a difficult task, but be prepared for gear oil spills.

I have been using Wix products for many years. I've always had good experiences with their products. The transmission filter seems to be very well made. It feels solid and looks just like the OEM built-in filter. I had no problems with the installation. Only time will tell how well it filters.
