WIX Filters Automatic Transmission Filter Replacement Parts : Transmission & Drive Train Review

Not for 2008 Grand Caravan with 4L engine. Another transfer. Don't believe Revain's "The car doesn't suit/ suit you" comment. With an open gearbox I had to buy a lower brand from a local shop.

I assumed too much, the Amazon 'fit or not fit' system for your car is wrong, it will NOT fit a 2011 Dodge Grand Caravan, maybe it will fit a 2010, but not for 3.6L five star engine.

Fits and stays great. I buy one of these every year to change the transmission oil, filter and gasket on my 2002 Dodge Grand Caravan 3.3L and it fits perfectly and holds the gasket well. I once bought a branded auto parts filter that kept jumping out of its place and I had to take it back to the store. This Wix filter is perfect.

Product description not very helpful. The exact transfer request should be specified. This kit would not fit my 2008 Chrysler Town & Country with a 6 speed automatic transmission as this kit is a 14 bolt design while the 6 speed automatic transmission in my 2008 Chrysler Town & Country is a 12 bolt gear is. Otherwise probably a good product.

Well, not much to say about that. This is the transmission filter and gasket. It's made by WIX and it's good. Quality is excellent, easy to assemble. I always apply a thin coat of RTV glue to both surfaces of the gasket just to be on the safe side, but I'm sure it'll be fine without it. Good filter and gasket, better quality than the "private label" that the auto parts store wanted. sell me, and cheaper too.

The filter seems fine but the gasket is just cheap flat hard rubber with no ribs or anything else that comes in the filter box. Doesn't seem very reliable and I'd get a better seal if I were you. Also, the image on the Revain is different than the pad I received. Mine was about 3/4" wide all around with holes cut. The one in the picture has wider patches at the holes but narrows between the holes which concentrates more pressure on a smaller area which I think increases the seal.

Got this filter for my 2011 Dodge Journey with 3.6 engine. Due to my work schedule, I change it at the store at midnight. This is my only car. I took the old one off. I opened the box to put in a new one and immediately noticed the problem. The filter is not tight. There are 14 holes in the gasket, I have 12. This filter made in China is not attached to the valve body! The bars are too small. I called WIXcust. to serve. and they contacted a local representative in my area. He actually came to my house and positively agreed that there was a specific problem. We measured the mounting posts and they were .005" smaller in diameter than the OEM filter. He asked if he could get a filter to send to the engineers which I was happy to give him. He also "corrected" by giving me some oil filters. ATF+4 (the…
