These shorts feel just amazing. They are light control and the lace part is very beautiful. The best part is that they don’t ride up during the day. Just perfect worn over sheer pantyhose with a dressy outfit - gently supportive and still lightweight.

I am 5’9” and on the heavy side. I rarely wear skirts or dresses because of thigh friction. I ordered the 3xl because I wanted more fabric coverage, but I do think the 2xl would have fit (but wouldn’t have been quite as long on the legs). I wouldn’t call this shapewear because it does not tuck or hold anything in place, as far as I’m concerned. I want to love this but the waistband slips down. They’re otherwise light and fit perfectly but constantly having to pull them up is a definite bummer. Also I bought the same shorts in black and they’re smaller? I don’t know if I can really recommend them.
