The prank was a success

OK. I bought it to prank my husband. I took apart his swim shorts and sewed them together. Less than three minutes after entering the water, his pants fell apart. It was priceless. What a great joke.

Wonderfill Thread.water soluble. works as described.

Used for (pre-)sewing a duvet cover. Then when I was done sewing with regular thread I just splashed water over it and the first water soluble thread disappeared. It was great to attach the sections you want to stitch around.

Good for temporary sewing.

This thread sews easily and sews on my sewing machine with no problems. I used it to glue two pieces of water soluble stabilizer together to hold the pieces that would normally go in the bin. It worked great to secure the details and wash out with the fleece immediately after completing the lace project. This is quite expensive, but the coil will last a long time, and the consumption of an expensive stabilizer will be reduced. Also good for spreading.

Cons
  • Out of fashion
