🪑 Optimized Chair Caning Kit Review

I was very unhappy to receive a different guide to the one I ordered. I ordered a Peerless Rattan (pink cover) but received a Comcraft Chair Caning Kit (turquoise cover). The set I ordered had 12 pegs - and after reading reviews calling for more pegs I ordered this set. In the kit I received there are only 4 pins. I'm giving 2 stars because I hope to get my chair back. I think I'll look for old golf t-shirts.

Kit arrived on time. The instructions were a bit lacking, but I watched a YouTube video and I was able to do it. I could have used more pins but I went ahead and bought a cheap golf tee pack to help. I would also like to know where to get the pins to deal with, but I ended up cutting off the golf tees. This was my first attempt at spanking so I made a few mistakes but I would do it again. The chair looks great, I'm happy with it.

The item shown is different from what I received. Instead of 12 plugs there were 4. You definitely need more than 4 plugs. I ended up using 12 golf tees, 6 extra pegs and 4 of my own. I also took Wicker Woman's instructions on YouTube and her website and just threw that pamphlet away. The set came with a good awl and all the stick and vise I needed, so I'll give that.
