Great brushes! best foam brushes

These brushes are much thinner than the cheap ones in the big stores. I have used them for staining and varnishing furniture around my house. The stain/varnish applied smoothly, evenly and quickly. Has much better coverage and a nicer finish than traditional brushes. These are now my favorite brushes.

Pros
  • Large selection

They hold too much opacity

They're better than most, but they hold up so much opacity that it's difficult not to get a lot of excess around the edges when you're applying something like polyurethane. I definitely wouldn't use it for trifles. Even on something like a tabletop, I had to be very careful with the edges. It might be better for other finishes, but for poly I prefer a good cheap one.

Great brush for trimming

All of the previous reviews are correct - this brush is a game changer. I'm slowly and steadily painting all the cream colored trim in my house. I used to spend a lot of time working slowly with tall toothed rollers and foam brushes trying to get the surface as smooth as possible. Then I bought this foam brush and now the color settles perfectly, no visible lines or bumps. I even quickly sanded the first (small) room I pre-cleaned with a foam brush and it really made a big difference. I'm…

Don't buy any other foam brush

You may be wondering how a foam brush can cost so much. It's worth it. Believe me. I'm a surgeon and I do woodwork on the side. You will never go back to regular foam brushes once you try them. They offer a perfectly even finish with all polyurethane ranges, from satin to lacquer. If you are going to be layering for several days in a row, just keep it in a plastic bag between layers and you should be able to apply 3-4 layers with a brush before it becomes too harsh and difficult to use. Don't…

Perfect for brushless brush strokes

I paint a lot and use these sponges regularly when painting furniture. Visually they are a bit different than the ones I usually buy at the hardware store, the sponge is not exactly the same but it is from the same manufacturer. You can reuse them a few times before it's time to use a new one as in most cases that depends on how well you clean them etc. Really good value for money and worth a try if You have never used a sponge before. Please note that these are far superior to any other…

The highest quality foam brush I've tried!

I bought foam brushes from 3 different brands to compare quality (Wooster Foam King on the left, US Art Supply in the middle and KingArt on the right). These brushes have a very smooth foam cut and were durable when painting with latex paint. These brushes are superior to US Art Supply brushes (which lose foam when using latex paint) and KingArt brushes (have less dense foam and are disposable). The Wooster brushes are by far the best brushes I've tried (for latex paint) but they are much more…

Very clean foam brushes Very cheap price

As a hobby I design and make custom furniture. After all the creative and time-consuming work of designing and building an item, the last thing you should save on is finishing. And yet many people buy the cheapest brushes and then curse the streaks, random bristles, and "styrofoam crumbs" that ruin their work. Instead of saving, I buy several good quality brushes and toss each one in the trash at the first sign of trouble. the size. Depending on the size of the "edges" of the piece I'm…

Worth every penny

Okay, I know it's crazy to buy a foam brush because you can get a pack of 20 foam brushes at this huge supermarket a few blocks away. Believe me. That's a whole different animal. I draw almost every day. I have an upholstery business and gradually the business went from occasionally painting chair legs to painting furniture as much or more as I upholstered. In addition, my house is a never-ending project, built in the 50's and hasn't been touched since the 80's, some rooms had a few touches of…
