Small magnet smaller than most I've bought

Just received this magnetic mount, small in circumference, can tip over on the freeway in any wind with any large antenna

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • I won't say anything

This is a quality item.

One of these was delivered to me a few days ago. Today I glued it to the car roof and screwed on the NMO antenna. All is well ! Good recorder.

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Quick guide

Works well - car accessories

Bought a 400-520MHz tram antenna with it, it's about 35 inches tall. I would not put a larger antenna on this mount. The magnet is strong, just don't think it will hold anything bigger.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Some bugs

Suitable for temporary installation

Easily moved from one car to another or when the radio is in temporary use. I like permanently mounted antennas, but they work where there are no antenna holes. Works perfectly.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance

Good light/medium magnetic mount for NMO antennas

Good medical grade NMO mount Used for small dual band antennas such as Browning BR-179 or Larson-like dual band antennas for 1/4 wave peak or 1/2nmo , but it will keep it on your roof. The ground side is conductive. Solid build quality. Bought another one on 07/21/2017.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Operating speed

Tram makes the best

I only use TRAM antennas for mobile installations simply because they work best. Come pre-tuned and get very accurate SWR results. This magnet is strong. Driven through a car wash and the antenna is securely mounted on the roof of my SUV. 259 fits perfectly and is snug on the cable.

Pros
  • It's amazing
Cons
  • Little things

Excellent combination of price, quality and performance!

I was still able to use repeaters for 40-60 miles with this in my truck. Now I can drive to fast food outlets and car washes without having to get out and remove the large antenna. In hilly terrain you lose part of the RX and TX. But in the city with good repeaters in direct line of sight - no problem.

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • Some issues

Works after I fix it

Broken in transit. The one that hit him hard and broke the middle brass pin right on the NMO mount where the antenna touches. Better packaging helps. removed the central brass plate, noticing that it was broken and missing the white insulation under said contact plate, and in the pocket where it turned, grabbed the handle and broke

Pros
  • Great for a small house
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly
