Well, the size chart of this product is wrong. I have a size 34 in the scrap and I barely had enough room to make it work with a 46. The buckles they send with the straps are complete rubbish. I would buy a different belt if I knew how dirty the belt buckle is. It's plastic and keeps coming off when you try to attach it.

Yes, the durability points go to the belt itself, NOT the buckle. First, the buckle doesn't attach to the belt at all, it pushes the flat end against the rest of the buckle and doesn't really hold onto it when you try to adjust it. It has ZERO stretch like the straps you use to haul heavy things in a U-Haul but with no length adjustment. Two belts for the price of one leather belt. These straps are perfect for what I need. My old leathers are all bent and worn where the buckle attaches. They usually last a few years but the strap looks new except for a few inches where the buckle fits, then they're rubbish. At this price for this belt. I hate to disagree, but I've always used this type of strap over the years. I got used to it over the years of service, and after retirement (1969) this type of strap allowed for gradual widening of the waist without punching additional holes in traditionally made straps. The PLASTIC buckles on my two new belts didn't match the GI METAL buckles.
