Very well thought out

Excellent spectrometer kit that reads reflective and luminous sources along with useful software. Was able to calibrate my monitor within an hour of opening the box. My only complaint is that the documentation is poor. It walks you through using the device but lacks context e.g. B. what gets installed in Lightroom and how printer profiles are used in Lightroom. The information is available online, but it would be better if it included a document for use with various popular photo…

A few things you should probably know before you buy.

The i1Studio itself worked as it should, as far as I can tell the software is easy to use, you can calibrate any screen on any computer without worrying about product licenses. BUT! From personal experience, some screens are poorly calibrated, which does not guarantee a perfect match with printouts on professional photo printers. It will absolutely bring your colors closer, but don't expect perfection unless you've invested the right money in other equipment and printers. I included a video to…

Create the perfect ICC file

I take porcelain tomb photos. Initial color problems despite the printing system manufacturer's adjusted ICC file. Eventually I contacted the printing system manufacturer (mz-toner from Germany) when they couldn't create a new ICC file for me. Unfortunately they don't do this for China photos and I had to contact the US supplier. But I have been in contact with an American provider for many years with this problem and so far it has not led to a positive result. MZ-Toner advised me to create my…

It's decent, but I think there are better options

After some use and MANY times of calibration, I'm thinking that something either doesn't fit mine or it just doesn't dial up properly for my situation. 4 100% srgb monitors calibrated, which all fit almost the same, although my other tester is permanently off. However, they are within tolerance and I find them tolerable, just not for $500. there are cheaper alternatives. Then I calibrated my printer. SEVERAL times all to this day can't give the same colors I got with OEM ink. I have a Canon Pro

You just can't go wrong with it.

If you're looking for an all-in-one calibration tool that can not only calibrate your monitors, but also develop reliable print profiles, calibrate scanners and projectors, you can't go wrong with i1Studio. The only other option was the Datacolor Spyder5STUDIO, which included several specialized tools including the SpyderCube to adjust white balance, exposure, and more for the camera. My needs as an illustrator have been limited to screen calibration and printer profile management, I rarely…
