Gives my flash a lot more coverage.

This thing really expands the possibilities of my flash. I'm shooting in bright sunlight and need a fill for the shadows. I'm zooming from 150mm to 200mm and I needed something that could do this without adding weight. It's an expensive decision.

    Very simple but effective.

With strong flash you get a long range. I have this on a Sony HVL-60M and it fits and works well. Warning - Always keep an eye on the sun when you have it on your flash as the Fresnel lens is a magnifying glass and can easily burn/set your flash on fire. or neighborhood. I'm planning to make a little V out of paper with magnets to keep it closed when I'm walking around instead of actively taking photos.

I'm trying to capture a Godox Speedlite flash.

Not being able to find anything for Godox flashes, I decided to try the FX-6. I have V850N, V860N and V860N-II flashes and they all have the same head size. As it turns out the FX-6 is just too big, but the FX-3 could fit more. I bought the FX-6 knowing it might be too big but figured it would be easy to reposition and a safer choice than the possibility that the FX-3 might be too small. Now that I see how they work I think the FX-3 would be a good choice for Godox lights and if I decide to buy

A bit overpriced but a good tool to add to your photo collection

Like: I've been a photographer for a little over 10 years and just started to get into wildlife photography, especially birds. I have to say that "better projector" is amazing as it extends your flash to 400mm (which is the F length I've tested it at so far) and I believe it can easily go beyond that. I use this with my Yongnuo flash - YN568EX. Dislikes: A few things to remember, you need to angle it right to get the light in the right spot/area. Also, if you're buying this for wildlife, be…

What can I say? This is probably the most useful accessory I've ever had for my dollar-for-dollar wildlife photography. Shots that I could never properly expose for hidden creatures or on less clear days are now not only properly exposed but seem to stand out in photos. An additional advantage is that I can use lower ISO settings and my flash batteries last longer because I can "underpower" the flash a bit (mostly -0.3 to -0.7 flash power). A word of warning, and that is common sense: It is a…

    Not bad considering the price

I've been using it for quite some time since I got it. It took some time to get used to using it. It usually needs to be adjusted when you first attach it to your flash to ensure the light hits your subject because if it isn't right it will fall under your subject. That's probably my only negative point. It can be attached with the other included Velcro after installation and adjustment, but when I do it interferes with other accessories. As a result, I've found that while I'm using it, it can…

    Amazing results! best in flash

I'm a semi-professional bird photographer ([.]) and was very impressed with the results I get with the Better Beamer in combination with the SB-900 when using Super Telephoto lenses (e.g. 500mm s teleconverter 1.7x). At close enough range, the Better Beamer emits enough light to fully illuminate the subject, allowing images to be captured that were previously unavailable. This gave me a great shot of a spotted Tauhi in dense undergrowth, which would have been almost impossible without a flash…

    Invisible - BEAM It

Aim your light further and reap the benefits of better photos. One of the disadvantages of bird photography is that small birds usually like to hide in branches to feel safe in low light. Using long lenses usually requires a fast shutter speed to improve sharpness, but in limited light, stick with options like bumping up the ISO and shooting with slight underexposure in the hope that your camera's dynamic range will recover detail. in POST processing OR! You can buy one of these and put a flash

Make more light and enjoy the benefits of better photos. The downside of bird photography is that small birds usually like to hide in the branches of trees to feel safe in low light. Using long lenses usually requires a fast shutter speed to improve sharpness, but in limited light you'll have to settle for things like bumping up the ISO and shooting with some underexposure in the hope that your camera's dynamic range details restored. in POST processing OR! Ok but could use some improvements.

Believe it or not, I bought this to shoot parades, not birds. I have started using flash when photographing parades as the parade route I am on forces me to shoot into the sun every time as parades usually start at the same time i.e. 12pm. I have found that a little shading works really well as most people wear some sort of uniform with hats and the shading removes the shadows on their faces. The problem I wanted to solve with Beamer is as follows. my technique is only effective at close range…
