EXCELLENT DRONE for quads and multicopters

I had never touched a drone until I got this one, just wanted it for me and my grandson to practice before he flies the new one he got for Christmas . This one was such a good price it was just right for a beginner and if we had lost or crashed it wouldn't be worth much money. The one he got for Christmas was pretty expensive. this one worked great right out of the box and we learned a lot with it ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo…

It flies great. Easy to learn

This drone has been around for a week now. It flies great. Easy to teach. Used outside. It flies well in calm weather. Beware of the wind. The wind will rock it. I measured the battery life of the included 500mAh battery; just hanging I have 13 minutes. Do maneuvers, there was less time. This is with the camera installed and without the blade guard. So far the only problem I've found with the x5c-1 is with the SD card. I took pictures and videos. By inserting a flash drive adapter with an SD…

Far exceeded expectations

I wasn't expecting much from this but I checked out the reviews and ordered it before Christmas. I only opened the box about 3 weeks ago and it was ready to use without any adjustments. It's relatively easy to fly, but as some others have noted they have no altitude hold and it's hard to tell where the front of the quad is. when he's gone The range seems to be well over 30 meters and I've found the flight time to be typically 5 minutes, but I've never dropped the dough. There's nothing special…

  • Good workmanship

  • Anything I can add?

Model 2014. No "headless mode ", no altitude hold. Old style chassis

This is a 2014 model. Late 2014 SYMA updated SC to SC-1 to fix stability. It's fixed. Later in 2015-2017 the SC-1 was updated again and SYMA added the X5SW and added "headless mode" to both. "Headless mode" is important. If it flies far, you can lose left-right, front-back orientation because it's hard to see. In "headless mode" the quad flies in the direction you move the right stick, whether it's rotated 90 degrees or the front is now facing you. If it's facing you, the left-right command…

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
