Description of XAP

XAP is a distributed in-memory data grid that supports the ability to conduct millions of transactions per second. This is due to the fact that there is virtually no transaction delay between physical I/O so XAP can be applied to distributed applications ranging from financial services to retail. XAP has 3 tiers to its services: Open source, Premium, and Enterprise.

Great data tool especially ideal w/ High Scale environments

The xap product itself is easy enough for my team to use as we are not heavy SQL users. It's great because it runs in memory - which means faster responses than most traditional databases out there today! We're able to store large datasets without having to go through an ETL process every time we want to do any analysis or reporting etc.. Also, when using multiple machines and each machine needs access to different tables, queries become much simpler with xap since everything loads up into RAM…

  • Great performance compared other relational DB options like Oracle & MS Access
