I bought this rug for short to medium term use only and so far it is serving its purpose. After about a week or two, small cracks appeared on the mat, which is a bad sign as I've never had a mousepad tear. I've had it for about a month and a half, maybe two months, and I'll be buying a mouse pad long-term due to the amount of tears. I also think it's a good pad, just don't plan on having it for long, which is understandable given the price.
