Good quality, made in USA. Gauges are not required to install a mini-split (basic tool, digital vacuum gauge, and argon system for best results), but purchasing individual hoses can cost nearly as much.

I bought these to use in my home HVAC system. I was pleasantly surprised that the set was made in the USA and not China. The sensor set looks very high quality and well made. Now I also use this set for my classic cars. I only use freon pressure 12 for low and high readings. It worked perfectly. This really is a quality meter for the price.

This is a quality knife set made in the USA. It's at least as good as the 30-year-old US-made R22 sensor set it replaces. Much nicer construction than the cheaper imported kit I used temporarily. The 5ft hoses make it easier to use than my old 3ft hose kit. Of course, I cannot confirm the longevity of the set in use. This function requires the R134A car adapter kit when used.

. You save Teflon tape! Both pressure gauges leaked immediately when screwed into the manifold due to a cheap layer of Teflon sealing tape. (Even two turns! @#%?!) I had to remove both gauges, remove a small amount of factory teflon tape and reseal with 4-5 turns of new teflon tape. corrected! (So 4 stars!) Come on guys. do it right. it's USA done right!. I've spent a lot of time pumping out the air conditioning with this collector. There was a leak which I additionally located with nitrogen at 150psi. Further time spent troubleshooting indicated a red gauge - it was leaking with a clogged charge port at 40psi / 10 minutes!
