Do not buy these! Save yourself the headache. Protective backs are much smaller than normal protective backs for baby earrings. It's already difficult to put earrings on a squirming child, it's almost impossible. Also, the thread on one earring didn't go through the back! So imagine spending 10 minutes of your life putting them on an angry kid to finally get them out. Just check the cord and realize this will never happen. Buy something else.

Beautiful earring for my girl! The earrings from the pediatrician's office fell out twice, so I figured it was time to buy new ones that she couldn't take off. My baby is 8 months old and I received 3mm earrings, I didn't want them to be too big. I could have gone for 4mm and that would probably be fine too, but they are great! The back is quite small, so you need nimble fingers. I'll update my review if anything changes, but so far I'm very happy with the earrings!

My ex pierced my daughter's ears when she was 5 months old and my daughter who is now 2 years old kept losing her earrings right and left and I bought the ones that said they were closed, and still no luck.
