As other reviewers have pointed out the backs are small but I have absolutely no dexterity and was able to put them on easily. They are very comfortable (and I usually have trouble sleeping with studs on) and the stand is long enough for my large adult ears. They fit our 2 year old daughter's ears quite well. The last pair we had from this brand (pink stilettos) didn't wear as well as these. The last pair's gold plate wore out after 11 months of constant wear. We haven't had them for so long, so we'll have to see if the gold plate wears off.
