Dimensional, in height as Canon 85 1.8 in diameter and weight as 28-135. If you cling to the crop, then the wind will not blow the camera out of your hands. Appearance. Hong Kong plastic. I wonder why it's heavy! ? Are the glasses. Its pros: Cheaper than analogues. Aperture. Autofocus is working. On ff it doesn't even miss. Has cons: XA on the open, but leave when closed. The micromotor buzzes both on AF and on MF, in the latter case it is quieter . the adjustment ring is unhooked by the switch

The quality is ok on the whole, it has some small flaws.

With its pros: Although it is relatively convenient to focus on aperture, the test on two carcasses kanon600d and kanon7d on both carcasses is the same. Its cons: Itโ€™s super heavy, working f1,8 is not nonsense, the motor buzzes very strongly, the sharpness is not induced quickly in autofocus mode, everything else was tested in manual settings.

Not quite what I wanted, but mostly okay.

What can I say. I have long wanted to compare it head-on with the Canon 50mm 1,8 STM. There was a suspicion that the front lens was too small for aperture 1,4. At one time, I sold Kenon to buy Yongnuo (due to aperture). Now he made a comeback, as he again began to shoot video with a camera. And here is my result: (there is a video on YouTube, look for the channel "For good") 1. I took photos with the same aperture values โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹for both lenses (under the same conditions) and Yongnuo each time setโ€ฆ

Pros
  • 1. aperture (claimed) 2. Sharpness. 3. Reliability.
Cons
  • 1. At 1.4 low contrast and soft. 2. Real aperture is 1/3 stop less (compared with 50mm 1.8 STM) 3. Dimensions and weight. 4. On a 650D DSLR, it often misses, but in general it happened up to 90% of good frames (on the mirrorless m50, the accuracy turned out to be 100% 5. Ragged bokeh. I did not like. 6. Not suitable for video (loud and prowling focus even on dual pixel).

Works great for camera and photo

I was hesitant to buy from this brand. I just recently bought a Sigma 30mm F1.4 ART and it works great, quiet, fast, nice photos and EXPENSIVE. So I compare the Yongnuo 50mm F1.4 with it. A little over 1/3 the price of the Sigma, it has nice images, it's not quiet but it's pretty fast. It's focused where it's supposed to be. It's sharper than my old vintage Canon 50mm F1.8. So for the price I'm very happy with it.

  • Comfortable
Cons
  • Mostly good but...

Much to be desired

Not much to say about this lens. I was blown away by his looks, but after some filming, I realized it was a mistake. Even after updating the lens with the supplied data cable, it was very difficult to focus the lens. She's also pretty loud. I will say if this camera took good photos, it was great! You could say the potential for quality was there, it just wasn't consistent enough for me. Really difficult when used in an industry that doesn't currently have a lot of second chance opportunities.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Unreliable

Try to concentrate!

I use this lens on the Cannon T5. Pros: * The color accuracy of the image is really good. * Image sharpness is great if you manage to get a good shot sharp. * Price. This lens is several times cheaper than the Cannon 1.4 50mm lens. Cons: * Size/weight. This lens is bulky and heavy!. The camera may tip over if you sit on it.* Autofocus does not work well in all lighting conditions. I took about 200 shots with this lens and only 5 shots were sharp and focused at F1.4. Images are more stable whenโ€ฆ

Shocking Cost - Camera Lenses

I bought this lens off Ebay but I'm so impressed I wanted to share it. I use it on Canon 6D with the latest firmware 1.06. I had to do a pretty significant +12 MFA, but now it focuses quickly and accurately. The image it creates is great, I'm enjoying it much more than I expected. In the past I've owned most Canon prime lenses, including the EF 50 f/1.2 and f/1.4, and photographed over 100 weddings. with them in my past career. In my experience, even with the best gear, getting a good focus onโ€ฆ
