Wires are color coded incorrectly

So I plugged this device in and checked but it wouldn't turn on. I have over 10 years experience in automotive electronics and I knew my methods were right. After investigation they had the red wire as negative and the black wire as positive. Good. After I reversed their mistake, the charger actually works as intended. It's able to charge my Pixel4XL quickly, which was my main concern. Time will tell how durable it is.

  • Sturdy construction

Easy to install, the cap breaks while driving

*Upgrade driving with the cable attached to the device to keep my phone charging, the rubber cap loose and falling off the device. Now I have to disconnect it from the battery so water doesn't get in when I collide with the weather system and watch out for puddles on the road. Installed on my 2012 HD XL1200C to keep my Samsung Note 9 charged while driving and works well.

Check wiring requirements

Fairly easy to install. If you want to mount it on a handlebar or in a fairing you will need an extra cable to go from the battery to the handlebar as the cable that comes with it is short, about 3ft. The color of the supplied wiring differs from the color of the wiring in the 12V system. . It was made from neutral red lead and positive black lead. However, it still works as intended. I like that I can control the voltage of the battery and the power of the charging system.

  • Elegant design

Excellent device for reading battery voltage and connecting to USB.

This works great with the pigtails you use for battery maintenance. Just plug it in and it will show you how many volts you have in your battery. It usually reads 13.2V after I unplug and plug the battery conditioner back in. After a few days without a battery conditioner it shows 12.8V. It's great to be able to read the voltage of your battery. You can also use the USB plug to charge your devices. I am very satisfied as it is well made and looks good.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

It works well! for accessories

UPDATED 10/09/21 The charger is now dead. The numbers are still showing but my phone is not charging at all. It was easy to install. I had to figure out how to mount it, but it turned out perfect. I used the USB-C Lightning cable that came with my iPhone 12. Within 20 minutes my phone went from 30% to 85%. This charger is such a handle! I no longer have to use my power bank with a 6ft cord flying out of my backpack. I just plugged it in and wrapped the included cable around the ram mount.

Pros
  • Easy setup
Cons
  • poorly thought out

USB-C does not work, USB-A only works at 5V/2A

I bought this as I expected the specs to be correct. We tested the SAE charger on QuadLock using the same cable/test/scenario. AMP multimeter, SAE charger, USB tester, anchor cable, P30 Pro 40% battery. Never worked with. Regardless of the cables, I've tried other cables and Anker USB-C and Thunderbolt 3.0 cables. Can anyone else check? Maybe my device is defective/broken?

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Cable is shorter than others

"PD " port does not charge small laptop

I installed it tonight. I was hoping to charge my phone and laptop while traveling from place to place. Both the USB-A port and the "PD" port charge my phone but not my 13" Dell laptop. Not sure if it's really a PD port or just a USB-C port. When I plugged in the USB cable, the laptop warned me that it wouldn't charge. The laptop detected an output power but it was not enough to charge the laptop. I tried while the phone was charging and without charging the phone. It should be noted that every

As advertised in Battery Chargers

HD Sportster Iron 883 could have been chosen Installation took 20 minutes including removing and replacing the seat. I used 4 cable ties in total: 2 for the wire and 2 for the USB block. I needed power to my phone, but I don't smoke and don't have any devices that use a cigarette lighter plug. Stumbled across this part and found that a piece of wire should work, it goes from the SAE connector behind the battery cover, zips onto a bunch of other wires to hold it in place, under the tank, then…
