Works as it should. on CB and Radio

Received because I switched from VHF to HF. I know that the "coolest" these days is to just use the gauges that are built into modern rigs. But I like the ability to test outside of embedded programming. Works great as far as I can tell.

This Tang loves batteries but is generally good

Make sure you turn it off when you're done or the batteries will drain quickly. Has a USB charging port. that I use, but I used up a lot of batteries because I forgot to turn off the device when I did it at night. Very compact and easy to use. The meter will not work without batteries, even when connected to a USB charger.

Pros
  • Portable Audio Video
Cons
  • Not Everything Fits

Works easily with CB and Two Way Radios

I needed to measure the SWR for high frequencies so I took this device. I had the analogue version for VHF/UHF so I was familiar with the brand. After plugging it in and testing my radio I was amazed at how much better using a digital meter is compared to an analogue meter. I may have to go back and replace mine with another one. In any case, like the others, this one has batteries. Also, replacing the batteries means the screwdriver will break. If possible, connect it to USB. Still, small…

It works fine but I have some small comments and remarks.

Works ok and is good value. The body is made of metal. The clear plastic cover over the gauge is thin plastic that pops out with a slight inward push. I sometimes hear a little extra noise on the received RF signal from the meter when using a USB power adapter, so I always use a battery pack connected to the micro USB port. All in all I recommend it.

  • Conveniently placed controls make it easier to use
Cons

Great unit for portable AV

Great unit. So much so that this is my second purchase so I can keep one for each transceiver. Agree with the other reviewer that the battery life isn't as great as some might like, but it is given the price and the fact that I plugged both devices into a 5vdc phone charger at the home shack. Strom, it does what I want: it controls both forces. and SWR simultaneously. If it's portable, all you have to do is turn it off after checking the SWR (or use the phone's "juice pack" to charge the…

Cons
  • Questionable Purchase for Elderly People

This is a valuable tool. Not the ultimate tool.

Digital SWR/Wattmeter is very useful, but its accuracy is questionable. I've had this since January and use it as a guide with other radio and autotuner methods to confirm readings. The battery makes it portable for short trips away from a USB power source, but they don't last long. There was a problem using a USB power adapter. The fragile micro USB connector is broken. My device was securely fastened with Velcro. The attachment of it and the power cable was stable. However, one day it stopped
