My cat played while I built! The instructions were a bit complicated, but overall I got it! However, as I type, I can see the dangling vertices going to the other side! I can fix it! In any case, it is CAT approved! I've attached a video to prove it! It was a good buy!

It was fairly easy to put together. The instructions say to hang it on the wall. I found it a bit wonky if you don't. my cat likes it She is a small adult cat, approximately 8 pounds. I don't think it will be strong enough for a big cat, even against a wall. Definitely not for the Maine Coon.

I've bought some cheap cat designs from Revain, this is by far the worst. The fabric tears or separates from the wooden parts underneath very quickly and the overall construction isn't very strong. The base of this article had to be heavier or wider. If you do, I'd suggest putting it against a wall or putting something heavy on its base so it doesn't fall off when your cat jumps in or out.

We have a 15 lb cat and a small kitten. Both cats love wood, but Otis the bug boy is too heavy for him. He cannot sit in the hammock and the tree shakes a lot when he jumps down. The little cat doesn't build a tree, but who knows how big it will grow. Definitely a good buy if you have small to medium sized cats, maybe something a little stronger if you have an Otis sized kitten. Assembly was pretty painless, just be patient and follow the instructions.

My main problem is hanging balls. There are metal clips in the middle of the cord which my cat caught in his claw when he hit it. So either leave them or change them to get rid of those staples. I had other problems with missing screws but I modified the structure so it still works. And there was a chemical smell that dissipated but my cat didn't approach it until the smell was gone. Other than that it's a very stable unit and Nicky loves it.

This was the toughest scratching post I have ever built and I have built much larger trees. Instructions were unclear, no markings on parts, couldn't tell what size post to use, insert the gray coated rods into the case, it was hard to hold when trying to find insertion holes. I have an 8 week old kitten and a 2 year old cat and I'm not even sure if it's safe for them to stay on it. Please write better instructions and make the parts a little stronger!
