Bought this unit to start a laptop cooler from an outlet, not the laptop power. Works great and reduces laptop power consumption by 5 watts, and when running a laptop with Nvidia 1070 and I7-7700 while gaming, every watt reduction helps!

I didn't like this product because it didn't work. I brought this product to connect an external hard drive for my laptop. It didn't even work when I plugged it into my desktop because it may have been defective. I will then test the cables immediately after purchase rather than assuming the product will do what it is advertised to do.

I have ordered these cables twice and both have arrived incorrectly. completely different USB cable (USB A male to USB B male). I returned the first pair of cables and ordered a replacement pair. I received another pair of the same wrong A to B cables as the first order. Someone has to pack their things. I was hoping to finish my project, but it doesn't look like it's going to happen any time soon.

After several trips to Radio Shack (two different locations) and Office Depot I could not find this type of cable. Both Radio Shack stores told me I needed a special cable, one even tried to tell me it had to be VGA (this is in place of the USB cable that connects two RCA screens in a car DVD player).
