Description of ๐Ÿงต YRDQNCraft Snap-On Overcasting Presser Foot (G) XC3098051 for Singer, Brother, Babylock, and Simplicity Machines

This overcasting foot delivers a consistent and accurate overcasting stitch for serged effect using your sewing machines. Thread is locked around the edge of fabric (e.g ZZ shape), aligned with the edge, to prevent fabric from raveling. Use this foot for beginning and end of seams in skirts or trousers, and the beginning and end of all cuttings!. The overcast foot is also known as an over-edge or over locker foot. It is a magical little sewing machine foot that can give you an edging similar to that of an over locker with just about any sewing machine. It simply clips on and off to attach and your ready to go. Works great.: Overcast Feet

This YRDQNCraft overcast foot is used for overcasts and small upholstery. He quickly dealt with rolled seams or overlock seams. This simple snap foot fits most machines.

Pros
  • This overcast foot provides an even and precise overcast stitch for creating a serge effect on sewing machines. The thread is pinned around the edge of the fabric (e.g. in the shape of a ZZ) and aligned with the edge to keep the fabric from unraveling. Use this presser foot to start and finish seams on skirts or pants, and to start and finish all cuts!
Cons
  • I don't remember

Works well on my Singer

This covered foot works well with my new Singer machines (my oldest Singer is about 50 years old and still works). It will work with almost any low shank machine. The overcasting foot comes in very handy as I sew a lot of heirlooms and very thin doll clothes where I use quarter inch seams that need to be skimmed over to prevent fraying.

Pros
  • One year trial
Cons
  • Available in white only

Nice little foot great for sewing feet

If you are unsure what feet are please inquire before ordering. This works on a low bar machine. This little foot helps you sew very fine quarter-inch seams. The thread loops around the fabric, giving it an almost covered look. This is good for fine detail work. It's a nice sense of solidity and seems to work well for me. I enjoyed it.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Not sure

Easy to Use: Sew

This overcasting foot is great. I have worked on Brother and Singer sewing machines. It's a "snap foot" so requires a machine that already has an attachment where you simply attach and detach various attachments to a small metal rod. My machines were already built for this attachment, so putting it on and taking it off was easy. It used to be easy to use. If you don't know how to use it, there are videos on car manufacturers' websites and also on YouTube, so you won't have a hard time learningโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Comfortable
Cons
  • Obsolete
