They claim it works with 2nd gen controllers but don't be fooled I had to before chop more than one spot when i got it. until half fit i had to use the back of my old shell for it to fit together, i love how clear it is, just wish it was gen 2 compatible out of the box, haven't tested it yet but hope it works until I get the right Gen 2 case

Taking the old controller out of the case and putting it in the new one was a breeze. The only difficulty was where the charging connector was, one of the support legs had to be sawed off with my dremel. Also, I couldn't use the buttons/parts that came with this controller. They weren't compatible with my controller and all felt smaller than the original. In addition, it is a durable and beautiful bowl.

It was easy enough to install, everything in the box was very helpful. I only changed the shell and triggers, so I didn't need many of the buttons associated with them. The quality is surprisingly very good, you don't feel indistinguishable from the official controller. The only issue I had was that there is no key mapping pad to connect to the board so none of the keys register.
