Heavy weight, great tone and nice finish. I love everything about this paper. All the benefits of painting on toned brown kraft paper but with archival paper quality. Love! It does not tear from light washing or gouache.

I recommend this paper for oil pastels. Works great in multiple layers. Plus, it's 100% Rag Cotton, meaning it's archival. Archival materials are important to me as I sell my work. I am a professional artist and I was very fortunate to find 100% cotton paper for my colored pencil work. It's a really rich brown, just like a paper bag. I used to use Strathmore Toned Tan Blended Paper but it's a much darker brown and really makes my pencils come off the page. I use Faber Castell Polychromos, Holbein, Caran D'ache Pablo and occasionally a Prismacolor pen on this paper and they all work great. I think Holbein and Pablo pencils work best here, along with Prismacolor. This paper
