Make sure all energy is discharged before changing bulb. Apparently it's more than just turning the button off and on. Got a charge and killed a bulb for my spark gap. Luckily there was another one that worked just fine. Also bought a backup set as it attracts errors.

None of the 4 bulbs (two of 2 packs) worked in the zapper. They were a lot tighter than I expected but they went into the sockets and I rotated them 90 degrees but none of the bulbs lit up. The flash itself charged (once it shorted me out, and another time I shorted it out first with a screwdriver), but there wasn't even the slightest light, like the original bulbs.
