I would give this one zero stars if I could, it literally fell apart when I took it out of the box, when I first got it I didn't even have time to put it connect or Try it, so I don't even know if it works.

Most aspects of the mic are great, I just wish the material was more durable and quieter to use. To his credit he survived my boafeng radio died in the cold at FT.Riley.

Works great Don't listen to the naysayers Everyone can hear me strong and clear. All you have to do is move it up and down your neck to find your sweet spot. I have it higher on my neck, above my Adam's apple.

Great mic. The sound quality is amazing and there is a real advantage in the field. The only criticism is that the microphone is not designed for us men with thick necks. You need to stretch it to get a comfortable fit.

But the sound quality was very good and allowed me to hear my transmissions very clearly in strong winds. Comfort left a lot to be desired. But it's just adjusting the strap each time I use it until I find where it's most comfortable while still maintaining contact with my throat. I will definitely be buying more of these for my other radios.

I bought 1 of these to try and test as a cheaper option for my CBRN gear to ensure clear communication when using radios and wearing a gas mask. They seem to be working well and have a clear signal for sending and receiving. They worked fine on my Baofeng UV 5R. I like the way the throat mic wraps around my neck to provide a snugger fit, but not snug compared to some of the spring-loaded throat mics I currently have.
