Great cable but missing a feature

Its length makes it very convenient to use my Fire tablet and not be tied that close to it for video chats. The only downside is that it's "heavy", so dragging the tablet and my headphones. I wish there was something that looked like a mic clip in the kit. This allows you to clip the "excess" to your shirt, etc. so it doesn't constrict the headphones when in use, and you can quickly extend them if you need to move away from them. I'll probably buy a shorter one just to see if that helps.

Pros
  • Sturdy build
Cons
  • Boring packaging

Misadvertised Accessory & Consumable Product

I bought this cable for a DIY project to cut off the cable connector. The product description advertised a fourth insulated wire and that the outer shield does not carry the signal. That's a lie. It is the same as any other cable. There are 3 insulated wires carrying the signal and the outer shield is grounded. That means it will work for what I'm trying to do, so 2 stars instead of 1. I'm just really annoyed by what they're advertising. Cable design is wrong.

Pros
  • Great for me

Excellent service

I bought a Zeskit audio extender back in July. It looked very good and exactly what I wanted. However, when I first used it, my Zoom Call friends said they heard a buzz, so I turned it off and put it aside. (I suspect it was a bad shield connection.) I lost it until December and tried again when I found it. The same (although we're well past the return window now). With little anticipation, I sent a message to Zeskit support. They responded quickly and sent a replacement immediately. That works

Most importantly WORKS GREAT

I bought 2 separate TRRS RODE extensions and none of them worked. I offered to send it back to the retailer but they told me to just throw it away rather than pay the postage for a cable that costs nothing. I couldn't believe their version of the 20 foot TRRS extension cord was about 3/32 inch in diameter. So I dubiously searched for a TRRS mic extension cable and found this one with gold plated TRRS connectors. I bought one for a test first. And when I got it and proved it's a great cable, I…

Better than you deserve for the price

Some of these bad reviews are pretty ridiculous. These are $8 extensions. They do their job and no, you can't completely abuse them and expect them to just keep working. Very few cheap products do this. They are made and priced to be used for some time and thrown away. If you want a higher quality product with a longer lifespan, pay a little more and save no more. I bought this to replace the one my new kitten was chewing on. So far she hasn't managed to cripple her, although I can tell she's…

High level of crosstalk between microphone and headphone signals

With the analog gaming headset I have connected here, there is a very high level of crosstalk between the microphone and headphone. Anything played in the headphones feeds into the mic output - problematic if you're using it for VOIP as it creates an echo reverberation effect for the other speaker, making it difficult for them to speak in their own delayed voice . If I only use a short adapter that separates the two signals (2-channel microphone and 2-channel headphones as a separate 3.5mm…

1 month to cable and connection failure

This was used solely to increase the range of my headphones on my laptop for online courses. It wouldn't turn on or off. It didn't pull or twist. It just worked normally. Trust the negative reviews. The quality of the cable seems really high, with good connectors and a nice thick nylon cord. However, after a month they stopped working properly. Now I have to turn them halfway either at the entry point on the laptop or where they connect to my headphones to get the right sound. When fully…

Pros
  • An absolute legend
Cons
  • Unbelievable price

The cable was great while it lasted and there was no loss or degradation in audio and it seemed like it would last forever but after the first five uses during recording it was with a real one Tripod attached to a tripod loop with large elongation. Cable break of the right channel at the end of the connector. After the autopsy, it turned out that the design of the socket and the way it was connected were to blame. The middle two solder joints look the same as the body of the connector, just…
