I bought these slots to store cleats in and they certainly did the job. The box closes very well. The slots themselves are a bit harder to open. I mean I wouldn't call it a FIGHT per se but they would be easier to open if you have nails lol. FYI in case this is a deal breaker.

I use a marker to write the appropriate project number in each compartment, making it easy to use the correct color at all times. Some compartments don't close well and stay open, be careful when moving the container as the contents may fall out.

, I did some work on the "diamond painting". It's so great for that. I can work on the section a bit and if I run out of gaps to fill I can just pop the diamonds into these boxes. They come in rows of 4 and each has its own lid. I found this to be because it is plastic. Using the dry erase marker above I can mark what I just put in the box. This makes it easier to search again if I find something I missed!
