Very small bulb, best suited to incandescent bulbs

I would only use this for animals that only need low UV such as frogs, night geckos, salamanders etc. Small body no more than 10 gallons. But it seems to make my leopard gecko happy.

Pros
  • Designed for use with all Zilla Mini horizontal halogen lights

They work as they are supposed to

I have never used these lights but I bought a reptile light that needs them and mini halogen lights. Our bearded dragons immediately started the biggest molt I have ever seen. So I would guess that they are really good. He's probably feeling a lot better.

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Not sure

Not enough UV for anole

I bought this for my green anole in a 10 gallon tank, the amount of UV it puts out is not enough for the anole's needs. He stopped eating and turned dark brown even when heated directly under a lightbulb. After deciding to spend a lot of money and getting a Reptisun 10 with a 5.0 bulb, my anole is finally eating again and looking much more alive.

Pros
  • Comfortable to use

Just a few weeks after

I bought this to add UV to my Eurydactylodes agricolae. The light is housed in a low-profile aZilla Fxtr Dual G9 light, along with a tiny 25W daylight blue halogen bulb, and I've set the light on a day/night cycle timer. I didn't use it until late March/early April. Today I noticed that the bulb is defective. The halogen lamp still works. I expected to receive bulbs for more than a month. Very disappointed.

Pros
  • it stopped working. Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • There are new competitors
