Finally a very nice silk satin hair cap. This is my favorite of all my hats. I don't feel that way, Aunt Jemima, and it's working. The only minor downside is that silk slips out of my hair if I don't tie it well enough. I have thick long curly hair and it fits everything but not my hair. This is not silk. It is much thicker than my satin bonnets and not smooth on both sides. If you use it (which you shouldn't) I would sleep head out. Also, jt doesn't have a tag to indicate it's silk. Even if it wasn't a cheap fake it wouldn't be good for hair protection as it only has one layer so you'll still end up with a lot of rubbing. Although the quality is not the lowest grade of silk, the higher the quality of silk, the heavier and denser it becomes. It's a very, very thin material.

For a very long time I wore a cap that was described as silk but was actually satin. I noticed that my hair was falling out, especially around my temples. After some research I found out I had to wear a silk hat so I bought one. So far, so good.

Good material but the problem is that there is no lining inside the cap. So the hair is not protected from chafing while sleeping. It should be double faced silk inside and out. I bought this cap to protect my hair from rubbing against the pillow. But now because the hat isn't lined with silk, I protect my pillow from rubbing with hair! Very nice hat. I order pillowcases made of this material. Very soft! I needed it for work to wear under a cotton hat. So it protects my hair. They fit great too. I have long hair and it covers everything. Redeemed. I wash once. I'm not sure how long that will take. Stick to no date.

I really like silk sleepyheads. Finding a good one is hard work. I'm really not thrilled with the colors this outfit features. I prefer something more subtle and couldn't find one.
