This is for a chandelier looking out of a picture window high up in front of the house. First I bought a 4K color temperature. Even at 50% dimming they were a very bright white but didn't match the rest of the lights in the house. I bought a couple of sets of these bulbs to replace the bulbs that come with my new ceiling lights. I wanted a dimmable white lightbulb. The color of these lamps is what I expected from a lamp with a color temperature of 4000K. I would describe this color as pure white. It does not have the yellow tint of warm incandescent bulbs (2700K) and the blue tint of cool daylight bulbs (5000K+). What impressed me the most was the ability of these lamps to dim.
