Don't waste your money. Just used for the first time, everything ok. Then there was a paper jam, I cleaned for more than an hour, now it doesn't work anymore.

I tried but it was easier and quicker to just tear the paper into small pieces. Also, the battery compartment wouldn't close and the batteries kept falling out. Although it is good for arm muscle development.

My first one was a bit broken, the back compartment was difficult to open and then wouldn't close anymore. And everything got sticky, like the plastic had melted but never gotten back to normal. Strange. It doesn't make paper strips very secure and can really only handle one sheet per cut. Since the hole only allows for 1/3 the letter size, the extra pre-cut before shredding isn't that practical. Came back and found another (you pay what you get)

I bought a paper shredder to make the same strips of paper for quilling. The knives will leave a ridge or groove on the edge of the paper, which is not very good for quilling. And for small jobs, it works great. It's a bit heavy, but it's way better than a whole trash can just for shredding.
