We've been using this for a few months. It took several weeks for the turtle to get to the top. Once they start using it, they use it all the time. They really seem to enjoy sitting there. This turned their bellies brown. It floated well and was soft enough to get on and off, unlike the hard plastic imitations. The fake plastic seems to be too hard for our 7 month old red ear sliders. I've ordered two of these. One was about 9 inches by 9 inches and the other was 7 inches by 10 inches; one was fairly flat, the other was curved. Sizes will of course vary as these pieces come from cork wood which cannot provide perfect sizes. Since the seller does not cut them to specific sizes, the sizes for each piece are different.
