Review on πŸ”Œ ACDelco GM Original Equipment PT2782 Multipurpose Pigtail in Black by Cedric Ford

Complete kit with everything you need for factory quality results

I bought this pigtail (PT2782) to replace the original crankshaft position sensor pigtail on my 1999 GMC K1500 Suburban (GMT400 body, L31 Vortec 350 V8) to replace. The kit includes a three-prong connector with three wires cut 16.5 inches from the back of the connector to the end of the wire (I measured this, it may vary slightly, but it's more than enough to snip off damaged wires) . and there is still a lot to put together). It also comes with three crimp and heat shrink butt connectors (I haven't checked the wire size, but the connectors are for 14-16 gauge wire). This ensures an easy and clean installation. I tinned the wires after stripping and then reheated them with the tip of a soldering iron after crimping just to make sure I had a good connection, but that was overkill (I also used a different heat shrink tube). above the plug after I have heated it; I had never used this type of butt connector and was ready to solder and shrink the connection. In hindsight the connector is made to do this for you and to be easier for those unfamiliar with soldering - if you have a soldering iron use a wide wedge to heat it up. connector after crimping, otherwise you can do it with a heat gun if you can heat it enough). Overall this is a great OEM quality kit that will give you very high quality results if you take your time and follow the instructions. I always recommend using OEM parts for whatever make of car you are working on and this kit is a good example of why.
