I saw this egg cooker on the internet one day and thought it was stupid. Then I threw away some eggs because I forgot them in the fridge and my rule is that if I don't know when I bought the food, it definitely belongs in the bin. So I bought it to encourage myself to eat more eggs. Since I love hard boiled eggs, I just don't cook them well - I love when the eggs are hard and I would either overcook them or completely undercook them to make them runny. Now I have this egg cooker and I actually eat eggs in the fridge because they are so easy to cook now. You choose the number of eggs you want to cook (I usually do 2 or 3 at a time), fill a cup of water with the amount of water you want, turn on the pressure cooker, then press the button. When the eggs are ready, the cooker will emit a high-pitched beep and your eggs are ready. The disadvantages of an egg cooker are space and signaling. I have a small kitchen so it was difficult to fit in a crowded closet when not in use, but that's clearly a personal issue. The alarm is an added bonus. This is a very shrill alarm clock, perfect for signaling the end of the world. I guess that means you can't ignore the alarm, but I wince every time it goes off. But overall I have nothing bad to say about this egg cooker. Do you need it? no Does it make life easier? Yes. Could you do the job with just the potty? Yes. But I use it a few times a week and I love it and don't regret buying it at all.
