First, it is fake FTDI chip. Vendor and Product ID are FTDI programmed, but the standard Windows 10 FTDI driver does not work with them. They want you to go to their questionable website and download the questionable driver in order to use it. It also doesn't work on Linux with the FTDI kernel driver. The kernel throws an error when trying to initialize it. Second, it looks like it's a TTL output, not RS232, so it doesn't really work with RS232 devices. Wasted time with that.
