Do not use or rely on these products. They took me for a walk and will do the same to you. I purchased the device from a plumbing company in my city in October 2016 and it was installed for me at a kiosk for a total cost of $500. It collapsed completely dead in January 2017. I hired an electrician to make sure the electricity was fine (which it was). I then called the plumber I bought it from and checked it out and said it was broken but it had a 2 year warranty and to call Insinkerator to have it serviced. At the same time, since he was dead, I was told to just replace him, which I did. I called Insinkerator and they told me their "warranty" had expired because I had already replaced the unit. That one of their guys had to come out and test it to see if it was actually broken. I say "guarantee" because nothing they told me on the phone was actually listed in their warranty. $500 was an expensive lesson, but I learned it. Don't trust this company
