I purchased these anchors for use in a cast-in-place concrete pier. The anchors are well made. The box contains 25 nuts and washers in separate plastic bags. The packaging was even stronger than it should have been. The entire zinc surface was bright and shiny. None of the anchors had uneven coverage. The carving was sharp and defined. Very "jewellery" finish. I believe if I install these brackets they will hold tight. "The proof is in the pudding" and until I drill my holes in the cured concrete and tighten to the specified load, I can't comment on the tension. They should be used to anchor metal studs and will be subjected to side loads rather than being pulled out of the concrete. In tornado conditions, of course, "lifting" the deck comes into play. When my project experiences high buoyancy causing the anchors to detach. I will update my review after we get back up after the tornado. Such a failure would be due to my poor application of the product rather than the failure of these anchors. (After initial tightening, wedge anchors have in-hole voids that are epoxy filled to prevent swaying from the kind of lateral forces I would expect from expansion and contraction.) Grumpy 46
