**DO NOT BUY**: Power Tools

I'm a qualified carpenter. My work trailer was recently broken into and my tools stolen. People suck. But it prompted me to buy replacement tools. While I carry and use heavy equipment, saws, air compressors, nail strips, etc. The tools I use the most are my battery powered tools. I have been a Makita man for many years. On construction sites I had the opportunity to try out other tools. Milwaukee, Dewalt, Makita and other brands. After careful research, I chose Dewalt. This set includes mid-range cordless tools that are excellently made, durable and up to the task at hand. Cons: You need to upgrade the batteries to use this set for full days. The 2 amp batteries have enough power for about an hour of use. A charger must be replaced with a multi-battery charger. Replacement batteries are very expensive. A 6 amp battery costs $160 EACH. I've bought Chinese fakes but they never last more than a month. That being said, I chose Dewalt for durability and the cost of the tool kit (number of tools purchased). Battery problem The above applies to ALL tool suppliers, so keep that in mind when looking at battery powered tools. the ability to use these tools at work. The most common tools I use are a circular saw, a drill, and a percussion tool. The saw works well and I would recommend this saw as a separate purchase. SWING. In my work this is NOT PERMITTED. I replaced both and both replacements rocked. I converted both to brushless and they rocked too. Unfortunately, I'm stuck with this purchase! I'm just buying Makita tools again. DEWALT is NOT the contract grade tool maker they once were.
