Review on MotoFab Lifts F150-3F-2R - 3 Inch Front and 2 Inch Rear Leveling Lift Kit for 2004-2014 Ford F150 by Steve French

The 3-inch level is not easy to install, but that's Ford's fault

So the quality of the product is top-notch. The struts are high quality, and the 2-inch rear units are top-notch too. Note the manufacturer's comments regarding spacer size versus actual travel due to suspension dynamics. This means the strut spacers were 2 inches high, but on the truck the stroke actually exceeded 3 inches. As far as installation goes, no matter what you watch on YouTube, be prepared for frustration and more profanity when trying to rack pull the rack out of a 2014 F150. Ford pressed in these two locking bolts that connect the strut to the lower control arm. They just don't stand out. Disconnect the knuckle without removing the axle, then lower the lower arm where it connects to the frame. For the back, do one side at a time or the axis will shift on you and you will have a hard time aligning things back with the 2 inch blocks. No, you don't need new rear shocks because of the 2" blocks, trust me. Overall, I applaud the manufacturer for offering such a quality product at such a price. But thanks to Ford, do yourself a favor and let the store do the headache for you. I can tell you that I love my truck and the 3 inch level. I get addons every day and with this level and the 35 inch tires this level allows, it always turns heads. I put on 295/65/20 Cooper STT Pro (35") tires and no rub at all. Thanks Motofab!
