Review on πŸ”Œ Tekonsha T-One T-Connector Harness: 4-Way Flat for Honda Pilot Compatibility by Steve Harris

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Wow, exactly as advertised!

I have just finished installing this trailer lighting harness on my 2013 Honda Pilot. First, let me say that I've spent 30 years behind a desk in an office. I guess I have some mechanical skills, but I'm as far from a mechanic as you can get. I called Honda to see how the dealer could help me. They wanted $220 for the seat belt with no taxes or installation. Everything I seemed to find online was complex and included trailer brake parts. I needed this to rent a small trailer about once a year and maybe a trailer to take my lawn tractor to the dealer for service. I definitely didn't need trailer brakes or anything for $220. This build was exactly what I needed. No splices or other oddities that could cause me to ruin it and short out the car's electrical system. It took 5 minutes to find and plug in the connector behind the "auxiliary fuse" cover. The small control module slid directly onto the bracket that was already in the truck. As other reviewers have said, the biggest problem was trying to unplug the connector from the connector under the driver's side rear bumper. I ended up having to use a couple of vises to get a decent grip and then voila. He became free. This cable assembly was then quickly connected and was easy to route to the hitch where it dangles but is hidden by the hitch cover when I don't need it. Finally, there's a large 30-amp fuse that fits in the underhood fuse box. It took me about a minute to figure out what was in front of me, so I put the fuse in the right place and that was it. It didn't even get dirty. I used a voltmeter to make sure the connector worked and I was done. Really easy and wow. I saved $150 buying this item from Revain compared to going to the retailer.
