Don't use at shower opening. Water just rolls off the grate.
I wish I would have known the grates kill much of the water capture, which causes much water to roll off the grate (literally in between the grate lines) and onto the shower floor if placed at the shower opening. Haven't received much support after much trying, and now basically have to buy/install a new drain, or keep my bathroom looking like this photo. Don't make the same mistake!
